New Listings: Fish, Neck Tie, and Bow Pendants

I've been on a creating spree!  I have so many ideas and have been trying to make as many as I can before they disappear from my brain! I just finished up a few more new pendant designs.  They are already available in my Etsy shop.

Also, I make most of the jewelry in my shop after it has been ordered, so if you would like a name or message stamped on the back...just let me know!

Remember These?

My oldest daughter recently bought one of those "tattoo" bracelets at Hot Topic.  When I saw it, I was thinking... wait... I used to wear a choker like that!  I can't believe they are back in style!  I was also thinking... I CAN MAKE THAT!  So, I looked for tutorials online and found a bunch.  Even though the one she bought felt like it was made with some type of fishing line, the tutorials I found all used Stretch Magic.  I couldn't find it in craft stores, they were all out of black everywhere I looked, so I ended up buying some from Jo-Ann Fabric online.  I used black and gold in 1mm, but they have all different thicknesses and colors.

I ended up liking this tutorial the best.  The only thing I did differently was, instead of cutting two strands of string, I cut one (6 times the length around my neck), folded it in half, and knotted a loop at the end.  This made it easier to tie it together when finished.  There are lots of ways to finish these off though...

Here's my youngest wearing a gold tattoo choker and a vampire teeth pendant (also made by me and soon to be added to my Etsy shop!!!).

Doctor Who

My two oldest are BIG fans, so I had to make a TARDIS (Time and Relative Dimension in Space) pendant to add to my Etsy shop!

Don't Blink Doctor Who TARDIS Fine Silver Pendant with Sterling Silver Chain

The back is hand stamped with "Don't Blink":)

It was funny, I took my kids to see the movie Paddington, and they got so excited when they noticed that one of the characters was the newest Doctor!  They are super fans or, should I say, Whovians!

Oh, and since it's almost Valentine's Day, I found a couple free printable valentines for you too!

My New Etsy Shop

Hi Everyone!

I have some exciting news... I opened a new Etsy shop, Emeline Purcell!

It is probably apparent by some of my previous posts that I enjoy making jewelry...and creating with clay.  Finally, I have found a way to combine these two loves!  In this new shop, I plan to offer unique, handmade jewelry and accessories.  I use a combination of techniques and PMC (precious metal clay) to create unique earrings, pendants, and all types of jewelry and accessories.  I have already added some pieces to the shop, but have lots more to add....so stay tuned!

Unfortunately, I don't plan to add anything to my other etsy shop, ThreeMoonBabies, anytime soon (sorry!).

You can read more about my new shop HERE.

A preview of the awesome new pieces I've already added:

OOOhhh...and check out all of the ♥ heart items  that would make perfect gifts for Valentine's Day!!!

If you get a chance, please stop by and check out my new shop!!!  I would appreciate it greatly!!!!  Thanks!!!!

Getting Ready...and a FREE Beading Pattern!

We have been having some fun getting ready for the 4th of July!
We painted our toenails a couple of days ago...
It was such a pain doing all of the detail with a toothpick!
I saw something similar here today, and it looks like an easier process.

I also made the girls these flag fringe necklaces.
They were super quick and easy to make...
and I put together a pattern to share!
I started by stringing the necklace part with beading wire, but you can use beading thread also.

~basic bead stringing/fringe knowledge is helpful~

You can find the American Fringe Necklace pattern HERE:

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July tomorrow!

This and That

A couple things I have made this week:

This is a rainbow necklace I made as a gift for Sienna's 5th birthday. We are doing a rainbow theme for her birthday, so I will have more pictures to share later of her rainbow cake and cupcakes we are going to make. I am also planning to post the pattern for this necklace later. I'm calling it "Raindrops on Rainbows".
That is Charles' school backpack transformed into a Monster-Pack. We saw something similar on Etsy a while ago. We just sewed on felt pieces to make the monster face. I love the zipper pocket unibrow and the large pocket mouth. Charles feeds his monster pens;) It was a great way to get him excited about his "old" backpack again, since it is still in really great condition. Cost for project= "free" (because I had all the supplies)...and no need to spend money on a new backpack for school this year!

Oh...and my polymer clay pug tutorial was/is featured on the front page of a great website called instructables! If you look soon, you might still catch it!

Strawberry necklace

I love when things turn out exactly like I pictured in my mind (maybe even a little better)!
Here is a necklace that I just finished. It is the one I was brushing up on the daisy chain for. It also features one of the polymer clay strawberries that I just finished.

The necklace pictured is for my 3 year old daughter, Sienna. I also made one for my 7 year old, Ramona. And...I like it so much...I might just make one for my Etsy shop!

**update: added a similar necklace to my Etsy shop**

Flower Garden Romance

Is a good name for the new necklace that I just added to my shop...because I am in LOVE with it! It is so feminine, romantic and pretty.

Desert Flower Polymer Clay Necklace

It's in my Etsy shop:

Desert Flower Polymer Clay Necklace

I really love how this necklace turned out! It was made using my handmade polymer clay beads, hand dyed and sewn silk ribbon from KAS LAMPWORK BEADS and SILK RIBBONS (LOVE them!) and silk thread. I tied the silk thread in between the beads to represent the prickly cactus.

Not a Bead Star:(

I am not a Bead Star.
Here are the two pieces that I entered:

Lemon Drop Seed Beaded Tassel Earrings
(entered in the seed bead category)

desert flower necklace
(entered in the plastics category)

Neither of them made it:( After voting, I just think that I was not quite in tune with what they were looking for. To tell the truth, I have never even read Stringing magazine...oops! That probably would have been of some help! Oh well, I plan on entering again next year. It was really easy to enter, and I really like the designs that I came up with.
P.S. I plan on posting tutorials for making both the earrings and the necklace sometime soon.
