Sleepover Spa Party

My oldest daughter just turned 10!
For her birthday party, she just wanted a sleepover with a few of her closest friends.
We created the invite using a pillow shaped graphic...it turned out pretty cute! For the goodie bags, we filled canvas bags with spa type supplies, like a sleep mask, spa socks, bubble bath, a manicure set, etc...etc... (we found most of it in the dollar section at Michaels). We planned on making homemade facial masks, but the girls were having too much fun on their own, so we never got to the facials. The party was a big hit, and the girls had a ton of fun!
If anyone else is interested in making homemade facial masks, here are the recipes I found:

And Yet Another Version...

I decided to redo the invitations for my son's birthday party...again:) I really liked the ticket idea, but wanted to simplify them. Here is the newest version. I think this version is more fun and appropriate for his age.
Go here and here to see the other versions.

Rock Star Party Invitations

So...
I've been looking for Rock Star party ideas...
And I noticed that a lot of people did fake concert ticket invites.
I thought it was such a fun idea...
that I re-did the invites!
Here is what I came up with
(V.I.P. access of course!):

I also found this cute idea for microphone cupcakes!
Hope that I can talk Charles into doing this for his party!

Happy New Year!

2010 was probably the worst year ever for me...
so...
Here's hoping for 2011 to be the best
(or at least better, which won't be hard)!

I already know one fun thing that will happen this year.
My baby boy, Charles, is turning 7,
and it's his turn for a party!
I decided that having a big birthday party
for all three kids every year is too much
(at least right now).
So, the kids and I agreed that each year they will take turns
on who gets the big party.
Last year, Ramona had her big 8th birthday tea party...
This year, it is Charles' turn!
He has been thinking of themes for a while
and finally decided on a Rockstar party!
Here is the invitation that we started working on today:
We will cut them out
and attach the guitar pick with some string or twine.
The party isn't until March,
but we couldn't wait to get started on the invitations!
I will post more about the party when it gets closer:)
If anyone has any fun Rockstar party game ideas,
feel free to share!

Here's hoping for a wonderful 2011 for everyone!
Hey...I just noticed that Charles is turning 7 in 2011...
Which makes for a lucky combo of numbers: 7 and 11!
Super Awesome!

It's a Tea Party...

These are the invitations that I made
for my daughter Ramona's birthday party.
It is not completely my original idea...
I saw something similar on Etsy.
They were made using Print Master.
It will be Ramona's 1st "real" birthday party,
so she is super excited!
It's going to be tea party themed!
