Wow!

I gave away 234 books yesterday!!!
Hope everyone is having fun with the patterns and beading up a storm!
Don't worry if you didn't get your free copy, the book is a very reasonable price for 15 patterns. It's well worth the money. I have seen just one pattern going for more than that on Etsy. Plus, you can feel free to email me with any questions you might have!

P.S. stay tuned...I already have a bunch of new pattern ideas for my next book!

P.S. These are very light! I'm even going to let my 5 year old wear them for Easter...she's been begging! Oh, and you can change up the color combination to better fit your style!

Imaginative Brick Stitch Beading Patterns

I've got some exciting news!
I wrote a book!
If you like my beading patterns, then this is the book for you! I've composed all of the patterns that I've shared on my blog and added a bunch more into a kindle book. It is a great format for my beading patterns, making it easy to take them with you wherever you go or bead! I have also included some basic technique instructions and extra tips. The book contains 15 beading patterns! Patterns include: American Beauty, American Flag, Christmas Light Bulb, Christmas Tree, Cupcake, Raindrops on Rainbows, Santa, Witch Hat, Mustache, Peacock Feather, Owl, Skull, Fox, Mushroom, and Easter Egg. The patterns have also been adapted to work on a color or black and white screen!
You can find my book here!
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks!

A Campout Birthday Party

My son turned 8 on Monday, and we are having a campout sleepover party for him this Friday. The party theme was also the inspiration for his S'mores cupcakes I shared earlier. I will be doing a similar S'mores flavored cake for his party.
Here are the invites we sent out to just a couple friends:

We have also had fun putting together some themed goody bags.
We lucked out with all of the "spring" type items they have in the dollar bins right now. We used a bug net to hold a giant bug, magnifying glass, flashlight, and some other goodies.
I know the boys will be entertained for a while with these!

S'mores Cupcakes

I made S'mores themed cupcakes for my son, Charles, to take to school for his 8th Birthday.
To make them, I used chocolate cupcakes, filled them with a marshmallow frosting, and finished them off with a graham cracker buttercream frosting. Oh...and I topped them all with a hershey's chocolate piece.
I used these recipes:
buttercream frosting (mix in 1/4 cup of graham cracker crumbs)
