Doodle Stitching Away...

So...I received my Doodle Stitching book, and I really like it! It gives really good pictures and explanations of the different stitches and their uses. The projects inside were all very inspiring as well. I give it a thumbs up:)

Here is what I have been stitching up:

The pictures show the back of a denim jacket (I plan on giving away as a gift). I got the idea to embroider the back of a denim jacket a while back after reading a post on casserole blog. Also, the design on my jacket was inspired by a free embroidery pattern that I found on Andrea Zuill's blog. There are so many inspiring blogs out there! Thanks for all of the great ideas!

My little artist

This is a picture that my 5 year old son Charles drew. He got to ride in a fire truck with my husband in our town's 4th of July parade yesterday.

He is becoming quite the little artist!
Here he is at the parade:

Hope that everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!

Hair Bows

Here are some cute bows that I made for my girls to wear in their hair tomorrow for the Fourth of July.

They are really simple. The striped one was just tied in a bow, then attached to a hair band. The other two were almost as easy...
